Between most of the rooms there is some difference in level, mimicking the style of original old homes.

 The grounds

The land spreads out over approximately 1.2 ha. From the gate a short and  level gravel road leads up to the house. To the left lies the pool (6 x 12m) which is surrounded by a sundeck and placed in a lawn. This area is backed by a slightly sloping olive grove which itself is situated below a strip of woods and a huge rock formation. This sheltered position creates a wonderful micro climate allowing roses to bloom even in wintertime.
A nice vegetable garden lies adjacent to the olives and next to the carport. The area directly around the house is paved with natural stone and offers a wonderful terrace outside the living room and studio. Behind the house and towards the view the land slopes down in green terraces opening up the view. Within the property there are two natural springs providing lots of water for the house, pool and garden.

The area

The impressive cathedral and quaint historic center put Orvieto on the map already a long time ago. The city has plenty of shops, nice restaurants, bars  and interesting sites. A spellbinding example is the Orvieto Underground. Parking is easy both in the center as well as at the train station. There are  frequent direct trains to Tuscany and Rome. Orvieto Scalo offers more shopping and access to the A1 motorway.
The area surrounding Orvieto is full of vineyards, rolling fields, and woods. Nearby Lago di Bolsena is the perfect location for a hot summer day. The famous spa at San Casciano dei Bagni is perfect during the colder season. Many interesting cities are within easy reach Todi 40 km, Città della Pieve 50 km and Viterbo 48 km.  The nearest international airport is Perugia 82 km followed by Rome 156 km.
