The sturdy and angular farmhouse is largely built in stone. Noteworthy are the brick corners and arches over doors and windows as is congruent with the local style of a typical “Casa Colonica”. As any old farmhouse it features the traditional lay-out with the former stables on the ground floor and living quarters on the top floor. This first floor can be reached by the outdoor staircase and loggia, as the current situation lacks an internal staircase. Another nice detail is the wood oven on the outside of the staircase that reminds us of how life used to be when this property was still a working farm. It is possible to move the road, which currently passes next to the building further out thus creating a more private setting.
The property needs a full scale renovation which includes structural work as well. For any information on renovating simply ask us directly as we are part of the Renovating in Umbria group. The group specialises in renovation projects and will gladly help you when considering to purchase this building. The Renovating in Umbria website provides lots of information about us and our type of work.
In the sale is included a relatively small plot of land of about 3540 sqm. The land is almost level and allows for landscaping and the construction of a pool. Agricultural land surrounds the plot so privacy will not be an issue.
The property is situated in a rural area with the nearest village at about 2 km distance. In addition to that the nearest city is Marciano at about 7 km and offers all possible amenities. With a central location within Umbria many interesting cities and sites and even Tuscany are within easy reach. Perugia offers an international airport, and the E45 highway ensure swift connections to for example Lago Trasimeno, Assisi, Todi and Rome.
