There are two ways to access the property. From the main road a gate opens to a lovely driveway lined with quite tall and impressive cypress trees which leads up to the houses. The other entrance leads from the mainroad to the private parking behind the buildings which is situated conveniently nearby yet well hidden out of sight.
The long stretched building is the original old farmhouse, completely restored and now divided into 7 apartments with a total of 12 bedrooms. As a result of the origins the lay-out of the apartments is not all the same. A new unit was built in exactly the same style at only a short distance. It harbours 4 additional one bedroom apartments. The apartments feature traditional ceilings with beams and bricks but will easily combine with a more contemporary look as well, by making use of a few simple adjustments.
Al the outdoor action is at the lakeside of the property which enjoys sun all day thanks to the full south exposure. All apartments have their own access from the outdoor area in front of the buildings. There is plenty of space for all guests to relax and enjoy outdoor meals and drinks. The pool is located towards the lake with a large lawn closing the gap between the pool and the view. Another part features lawns with mature trees providing lots of shade for blazing summer days. To one side there is a very nice olive grove featuring many old trees and maintained producing trees. Hammocks, sunsets and relaxing while enjoying the lake view is definitely what comes to mind!
Though the property feels like it is away from the world and surrounded by nature amenities are nearby. A short 2,5 km walk takes you straight to the little town of Tuoro. The distance to the lake side with ferry’s to the islands and beach venues is 5 km. Out of the many quaint little villages around the lake Castiglione del Lago (16 km) is for sure the most picturesque one. Various delightful Tuscan cities are within easy reach as well. Montepulciano 36 km, Chianciano terme 44 km, Cortona (Under the Tuscan sun) 17 km and gorgeous medieval Arezzo 44 km. Let’s also not forget Siena with its international airport at 80 km. On the Umbrian side bustling university city Perugia lies at a mere 40 km.
