The building

The house is one of the many delightful original farm houses here in Umbria. Built in stone that was found onsite and over time it has been modified and adapted to a growing family and changing needs.  The ground floors still feature the stables with their original ceilings in beams and bricks. The central staircase leads up to the former living quarters, making good use of the warmth of coming from the stables below.

The house has been abandoned for a long time and though structurally not in very bad condition is needs a full renovation in order to get to a modern level of comfort. The Renovating in Umbria group of which we are part can handle all the work  as well as handle of the requests for applicable subsidies. Our suggestions would definitely include a glass extension, a pergola, some landscaping to create well defined areas around the house and…. a pool!

What is special about it is the total surface. Very often these house ended up as huge buildings leading to very high costs, in this case the house is both straightforward and not exaggeratedly big.

The land

A total of 6 ha of land is included in the property. Around the house it is mostly level, to the east it rises, to the south it slopes opening up to the valley alongside. There is an olive grove to recuperate, meadow and woodland.   It is possible to buy additional land if desired.

Surroundings

The local scenery boasts sublime views with both gentle and more rugged hills. Many people are attracted by the tranquility in this otherwise quite convenient and central location.  The nearest neighbour, an agriturismo, is located out of sight approximately 700m away. In the area there are many second homes as well as small local hospitality  businesses and of course plenty of farm properties.

The nearest village with amenities is Resina, located not even 6 km away. The international airport  of Sant’egidio lies at 21 distance while  the bustling university town of Perugia is 23 km Away. The same distance counts for both Umbertide with its famous farmers market and the Antognolla golf course. Famous Assisi and stunning Gubbio can be found at 36 and 38 km distance. Many more fascinating, beautiful and interesting places can be found within easy reach.
