This property could come straight out of the books of C.J. Lewis! The ruins lie on a small hilltop that’s surrounded by meadows and woodland. When exploring the site more and more bits and pieces pop up as ghosts from the past. The main building was situated at the top with what must have been annexes spilling down the south side. Rebuilding the original shape is probably not the best idea but how about a sleek modern structure rising up out of these ancient walls? History and contemporary design make a superb combination and it is easy to imagine how unique, stylish yet enchanting the result can be! Let’s see what else this delightful property has to offer:

  • an enormous amount of 1450 square meters available to build
  •  lot of possibilities for use and development
  • a comfortable and convenient location close to Perugia
  • an open yet shielded position
  • lovely views of the distant hills
  • south facing

The ruin

The remains of the monastery consist of parts and pieces of the old walls. Some of them still showcase beautiful features and openings. Our suggestion would be to integrate these original parts into a new contemporary design in a way that the contrast between old and new with emphasises both of them.

The land

The property includes 10 ha of land divided between woodlands and meadows. The land slopes gently and is easily manageable. There is of course ample space for a pool, a tennis or paddle court.  With some easy landscaping the setting can be improved in a way that will definitely enhance the future building.

The surroundings

The nearest amenities are located  3 km at the Ripa Bianca mall, with the access to the E45. Marsciano is the nearest city with all you need for daily life at 14 km.  The vineyards of Montefalco 22 km and Bevagna 21 km are located to the east. These are followed by famous and fascinating cities like Assisi 34 km, Trevi 33 km, Spello 32 km and Spoleto 40 km. This beautiful town is known internationally for its music festival. At 26 km to the north is the bustling student city Perugia which dates back to Etruscan times. Visiting the Perugia underground city is for sure an interesting experience. The historic center itself is a web of ancient arches, alleys, aqueducts turned walkways, shops and restaurants.
