The building

The property has developed over centuries of time and started out in medieval times with just the pieve or church.  Living quarters were added and looking at the courtyard (60 sq m) most like it became a monastery. For the livestock stables were needed and the result was a small hamlet. As time went by the property was abandoned and without the necessary maintenance and upkeep it suffered quite a lot of damage. Some parts are beyond saving and will need a complete reconstruction. Other parts may be partially renovated. The renderings give an excellent idea of  the potential of the buildings.

The area

The enchanting little town of Umbertide is situated about 10 minutes away. It is only one of the many quaint towns in the well known Niccone valley.  The city features a quaint historic center with all possible amenities. The Robert Trent Jones Antognolla golf course  is nearby and offers great golf possibilities. To the east Cortona in Tuscany and Lago Trasimeno are within easy reach. In the other directions Perugia (international airport), Gubbio and Città di Castello are nearby places of historic interest.
